"Sometimes, all it takes is a gesture, a word for everything to change, but often, uncertainty makes choices difficult," says the artist. An eclectic musical identity, rooted in reggae Coming from a family with Ivorian, Caribbean and French roots, TUPAÏ builds a rich and daring musical universe. While remaining faithful to reggae vibrations, his style skillfully fuses influences such as hip-hop, soul and African rhythms. This approach allows him to reach a diverse audience, uniting cultures through his music. With this new title, TUPAÏ continues to build a bridge between his origins and his international ambition. “I want my music to be a universal language, that speaks to hearts and souls, no matter where you come from,” he explains. “Message in a bottle” is no exception to this rule, and promises to resonate with all those who have experienced the uncertainties of love and life. About TUPAÏ Born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, and strongly influenced by his multicultural roots, TUPAÏ (real name Patrick N'Gouin Claih) is a multi-talented artist. Since his beginnings in Ivorian hip-hop culture, he has continued to enrich his musical journey with various influences, until he created his own style, which goes beyond conventions. With his studio based in Abidjan, he continues to produce sincere and uncompromising music, ready to conquer the world.

The origins of a mixed-race artist Born Patrick N’Gouin Claih on August 14, 1975 in Abidjan (Ivory Coast), TUPAÏ is a singer-songwriter at the crossroads of multiple cultures. Rooted in the Ivory Coast, he also embodies influences from France and the Antilles, lands that resonate through his eclectic and deeply personal music. TUPAÏ does not just follow the beaten path. He shapes his own musical universe, marrying the sounds of reggae with touches of hip-hop, soul, and African rhythms. An identity shaped by hip-hop His first steps in music began young. As a child, TUPAÏ was immersed in a variety of sounds – from English pop to Gregorian chants, classical music, French variety and reggae. It is this musical openness that shapes his ear and artistic sensitivity. At the age of 9, he discovered the Abidjan City Breakers, which immersed him in hip-hop culture. As a teenager, he made his debut in rap, drawing on African-American influences, while remaining deeply attached to his African and Caribbean roots.TUPAÏ: a name, a vision5Music without bordersHis approach to music is unique, rooted in a creative freedom that goes beyond conventions. TUPAÏ refuses to conform to the strict rules of reggae or hip-hop, preferring a personal and sincere approach. "I don't respect all the codes of normal music," he says. This desire to push boundaries and bring a new vision makes him a unique artist. His music, as he likes to say, is a "crowning achievement", a work that evolves with time and experience. It’s not just about sounds, but about raw emotions, real-life stories, and deep reflections on the world. Universal and committed themes The themes he addresses in his songs reflect this maturity. He talks about love, of course, but also about those left behind by society – autistic people, the disabled, single mothers, the forgotten. Through his lyrics, TUPAÏ wants to give a voice to those marginalized by society, and he addresses subjects as profound as old age, euthanasia, or abortion, without ever passing judgment. An artist ready to conquer the world TUPAÏ is a name that carries a story. Inspired by his childhood nickname “Patou” and his admiration for Tupac Shakur, he becomes TUPAÏ, a tribute to his hero while remaining resolutely himself. Very early on, he developed a love for writing and arranging, talents that he showcased by opening his own studio in Abidjan, Victory B Studio, in 2014. This year marked a turning point in his career with the release of his title “Lova”, an ode to love on a reggae rhythm that would become one of his signatures.
